    Cryptic Crossword Game

Saw this on another website and thought it would work here - basically, you think of a crossword clue and the person who solves it continues the chain using your solution in his clue. So, the clue "Chalky sportsman right on cue (5,5)" would be predictably followed by "Jimmy White signs insane pop hit (7,5)", i.e. Snooker Loopy.

Brain surgery? I'd rather a bottle in front of me! (7,8)

Forgot to mention in the first post, if a clue has everyone stumped, the clue-setter should give a letter as a hint every few hours until it's solved.

The key words are rooster and tuber. Kerr is part of the answer.
