Anyone want to point me in the direction of the LOI involvement? Seeing as we're stopping for it...
I know the teams
Just pointing out 2 FAI logos, and not one LOI logo
Inter get top billing too. Heard weekend ticket was €90
Wouldn't it be more appropriate to call it the "League of Ireland Super Cup", too?
Or if they insist on Dublin Super Cup, have a "Dublin Select" playing?
Jeez, that will test the loyalty of Celtic's fans, both in Ireland and Scotland.
Tbh, they have pre-season tournaments like that in London every year and even with well-supported "host" clubs like Spurs or the Arse, a much bigger population, and any number of tourists and expatriates etc, they still sometimes struggle to fill the stadia. And that's at rather lower ticket prices (I think) than €90.
You see your thinking and using your head, you should know by now the FAI dont think and they don't know what they are doing......Wouldn't it be more appropriate to call it the "League of Ireland Super Cup", too?
Or if they insist on Dublin Super Cup, have a "Dublin Select" playing?
Interesting to note also that it was the 29th of July last year that Shamrock Rovers played Juventus....
would there be any irony if inter had to pull out because they end up in the same position as juve? (they are curerntly 5th lol)
Not really. The Dublin comes from the location....

LOI section on balls.ie - http://balls.ie/league-of-ireland/
Lots of Celtic fans cheering on their Scottish heroes against our lads. An even more embarrassing scenario than Man U last year. Could be very humiliating.

Threads merged.
Apologies - didn't see earlier thread.
Nah, not to worry SS most celtic fans will never get beyond "Players Lounge" or that place in O'Connell Street where they will get p**sed and sing sectarian ballads (and calling those supporting LOI select "brits") before a night of listening to some band playing ....... sectarian ballads ! those that do wander out into daylight will obviously end up in Dalymount by mistake where (on discovering the bar does cheap drink) they will set up camp and watch game on RTE (while singing........).
Real football fans them Lads.
So this is what Limerick got rectally encroached over?
2 mickey mouse teams and Inter Milan?
Oh and not forgetting the LOI Select team.
Yeah I'll make sure I'm out of the country for that.
Why not invite a LOI Team to play in it if they must pretend they give a sh1t about LOI?
There's a while to this. And unless Shams end up involved, ie. The league champions then there's no point.
I'm sick of the FAI. I'm sick of the unprofessional attitude. I'd attend I'd support Shams. I will never support an LOI XI. And I know there's many others like me.
DID YOU NOTICE A SIGN OUTSIDE MY HOUSE...?
I'm ok with the format and teams involved. Similar to the Emirates and Amsterdam tournaments which have worked well. Inter were always going to be the top billing. I've no qualms about a LoI representative side being selected. I just wish they had a game or two prior to the tournament, like a home and away clash with a Irish League XI in the spring.
