Didn't Norwich have a run like that at the end of last season? They'll want to have 40 points going into their last few games if they want to stay up.

Harsh is an understatement I think.

Studs up tackle into someone's chest? Players are warned beforehand. Wouldn't like to be on the receiving end.

The studs might make contact with his chest but he's sliding along the ground and pulling out if anything. Sometimes these things just happen but there didn't look to be any intent or reckless play in my opinion.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, your opinion man.

Looks reckless to me and totally unnecessary with risk far outweighing and reward. Norwich appealed it and appeal rejected.

Yeah I saw that. Looks like a 50/50 ball to me with a slightly unfortunate result for the Brentford player. Football is gone soft to embarrassing levels though, fair enough clamping down on genuinely dangerous tackles but there's no way that was one I don't think. Ibrahimovic's disallowed goal the other day kind of summed up how soft football has gone for me but the commentators were of the view that it was probably the correct decision.

£12m fee mooted; Crystal Palace have supposedly offered £7m.

Swansea have supposedly bid over £5m for Martin Olsson rather than pay the £10m approx. it would take to sign Robbie Brady, though I suspect they would rather sign Olsson period.

Concrete bids put in for Jeffrey Schlupp from Palace, and I think one other team.

Nothing solid on Brady, McCarthy or Hourihane - apart from Sam's remarks.

Looks like another frustrating transfer window.

This would be really good, if it comes true - http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...-chase-9609158 - having Brady play alongside Hendrick on a weekly basis...unless Burnley get relegated, that is

I'd rather he goes to Palace tbh.

He'd be signed for a more advanced role by Burnley surely/hopefully...

When Sky Sports sight sources other than their own it tends to be BS, BS.

Hopefully not though, Leicester aren't exactly riding high but they've plenty to build on.

That Uefa footballing landscape report and the amount of young players getting a chance in the Championship, along with Brady hopefully getting a transfer is making me feel a lot more optimisitc. From a couple of years ago where we saw no bright spots or green shoots, we seem to be in a much healthier position today.

For an extra few bob they could have had a player who would be in their side, and enhancing it.

Can Leicester really go down? This time last year we were asking can Leicester really win it!

Either way, Brady might get a taste of the Champions League.

I don't think so. I can't really see any of the five teams currently below them finishing above them, and Watford are in free fall too.

    I presume this

    http://www.uefa.org/MultimediaFiles/...1_DOWNLOAD.pdf

UEFA's latest footballing landscape / benchmarking report (2015)

A minnow like ourselves doesn't get much of a mention but where we do it's to show a bit of a rise in profitability and revenue. Attendances are highest in over 10 years. Our gate receipts account for a high % of income. Player age averages 24.4, relatively young. In itself I wouldn't be made massively upbeat by the report but things are moving in the right way at least.

When searching search for IRL, Ireland or Outside the Top 20! No mention of "problem child" or "amazing job".

Some interesting findings overall, notably improved profitability / less financial distress than pre FFP.
