Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
Saw 5pm on the UEFA site, which I assume is CET. So that'd be 4pm Irish alright.
Is there anyone from here going?
I assume this is the ground; 51000 capacity.

51k!
Unless the locals are interested, guess we might end up with a row of seats each! AFAIK around 250 are going out?
Will know at least 10% of those....
Hadn't realised they had moved the international games back to the Hrazdan Stadium from the Hanrapetakan Stadium, which is smaller and much handier for the centre of town iirc.
I got that off googling "Armenia National Stadium" to be honest. Could well be wrong. Fussballtempel.net gives the next biggest ground as 15000 capacity or so.
Edit - UEFA gives the ground as the Stadium after Vazgen Sargsyan, which is the same one ORA mentioned.
There are clips on youtube of the game where they lost 2-1 at home to Spain. Looks like quite an intimidating place.
4pm on a Friday - will feel very strange. Now to get out of work early![]()
JERRY: But are you still master of your domain?
GEORGE: I am king of the county. You?
JERRY: Lord of the manor.
There's a big telly where I work.![]()
quiet enough on here coming up to Armenia game, can't believe it's that time again![]()
Yep see you out in Yerevan GT , still no tickets but i am sure we will be able to pick them up out there .
Claret you can pick up tickets on the day - lots on sale (they're flogging them for about 5dollars). Armenian fans are very sound and it'd be good crack to watch it from their side (I will) - they're rather free and easy with the old cognac and pomengranates!
I think, though I'm not sure Junior, that the FAI receive a certain amount from each ticket, however for home fans it's a good deal cheaper. This morning I spoke with my friend in Yerevan (who I'll stay with) and he said that for sure there are expensive tickets but that ours are in the 5dollar range. There won't be a full house, so there will be lots available. The only worry to be had is if you're going wearing Irish gear then they'll pull you - happened to me a couple of years ago in Montenegro.
On a pub note, I think the Red Bull has re-opened and is good for beer. And if possible avoid the Wheel Club, seems to be a tosspot magnet for some reason (think overweight Brits and Yanks with teen girls on their arms).
Yeah, I dont have a problem with the 20 yoyo's. Its half the cost of going to a match over here and with the difference in cost of living etc... Im happy enough.
Looking forward to this trip now. Head off tomorrow afternoon. Lets hope we get the result and start the campaing as we mean to go on.....
I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?
"No, I drink to help me mind my own business....can I get you one? (c) Ronnie Drew
