Crass thing to say, lots of very embarassed laughter and he tried to make light of it. But in fairness it was a joke lots would make, but not on public tv, have to sack the editor (it's taped after all!).
They were praising Cook for his professionalism, doing an interview after such a crushing defeat, and saying he was a gentleman to deal with during the season.
Then the other clown pipes up about Cook going home and beating his wife. The 'man' is a thundering disgrace

Just because it was meant as a joke doesn't make it funny or okay, and he should no better considering allegations made against his brother years ago
