    Team of the season

Thought I'd start this off - I'm not sure my opinions will change based on the last week of the season.

    Brian Murphy

    Brian Shelley
    Ken Oman
    Craig Sives
    Conor Powell

    Shane Robinson
    Stephen Rice
    Paul Keegan
    Billy Dennehy

    Gary Twigg
    Raf Cretaro

I look at some of these teams of the year & I'm left scratching my head, I think it's harder to lose a reputation in this league than run a club at a profit.

Shane Robinson has not been able to keep a regular spot in the Rovers side so how could you be in a team of the year?

That's a fair point - Gareth McGlynn probably should get in ahead of him.

    LB: Evan McMillan (UCD)
    CB: Kenny Browne (Waterford)
    CB: Kevin Murray (Waterford)

    RM: Conan Byrne (Fingal)
    ML: David McCallister (Shels)
    CM: Ronan Finn (UCD)
    CM: Robert Bayly (Fingal)

    CF: Graham Cummins (Waterford)
    CF: Karl Bermingham (Monaghan)

Evan McMillan has never played full back in all the games I've seen him play. I could be wrong, but I think he's right footed too.

Also, Shorty's a good player for us, but it's debatable if he's even the best right back at UCD.

I would have Kilduff in ahead of Cummins.

Stephen O Flynn only came in half way through the season. Granted he has been outstanding since then scoring 16 goals or so but a place in the team of the year seems a bit far. However, all to their own opinion!

I think Rovers would have 2 contenders. Right back : Romauld Boco and Striker : Rafael Cretaro. Gary Twigg would be the other striker by the way. Joseph Ndo would have to be in there somewhere.

I'd probably pick 8 Bohs players, plus Murray, Twigg and Cretaro......

Precisely the reason he should be there or there abouts in the team of the season. Only in the division a couple of months and he flew up the goal scoring charts. 15 goals in 8 or 9 apperances i believe. Seemed to be a lot more goals scored in the division this season though so there are a good few different strike partnerships that could be in the team of the season.

Wouldn't have Shane Robinson anywhere near this team, he has been muck most the season bar 2 or 3 games towards the end of the season, no leadership qualitys no pace and Stephen Rice carrying him all season. Would have Deegan of Bohs in there and maybe Sean O Connor of Shamrock rovers, he has been fairly consistant all season with a couple of quality goals.

Killer's missed way too many chances to make the team, I think. He could easily have had 20. Done very well for us, mind, but I think Stephen O'Flynn and Karl Bermingham should be in there ahead of him. Was Cummins injured for the second half of the season or did he just drop off entirely in form? Also, I'd have Eóin Martyn of Mervue in nets.
