The Republic of Ireland women's senior side continue their FIFA World Cup, group 6 qualifying campaign with two pivotal away fixtures against Russia and Kazakhstan and on October 25th and 29th respectively. The Irish manager has called upon Salthill Devon midfielder, Julie Anne Russell who impressed for the Irish U19s as they progressed to the elite qualifying phase of the UEFA Championship recently while St. Catherine's star, Kate Taylor (pictured below) is again included after she returned to the Irish side for last month's victory over Kazakhstan in Turners Cross.

In the stepped nature of Senior International football, RoI stretched to take a point from Russia.
There is one last game in the group on Wednesday in the Carlisle Grounds where RoI have a chance of getting 13 points from 8 games an improvement on the 12 points from 8 games in the Euro qualifiers, where RoI reached the play-offs.
