Damn it, I was about to make that joke. Opposite scoreline though.

Last week we had Fenlon and Conway in the papers saying full time was the way forward and Bohs would would still have a full time squad next year. Today we have O'Neill and Roche in the paper stating the complete opposite

So much for the people on here saying Rovers would spend like drunken sailors and end up in trouble again.
O'Neill getting his excuses in early just in case.

As people were saying, not the title decider but the biggest game of the season - of any season perhaps - for quite some time. The atmosphere is going to be electric, sparks should fly on the pitch and maybe - just maybe - we'll see some goals. All I'm going to predict is that I'll be quite merry on arrival and quite hoarse when I leave.

Bit premature calling it the "Title Decider" Maniac. Still a lot of points to play for after that game.
Going for Bohs 2 Shams 0
Brennan and Ndo to get the goals.
Did we beat Shligo 4 times in the league this year?

O'Neill gave an honest assessment of the game, not the usual claptrap that players and bosses come out with, about games these days.

Mourinho used to do the same, and got tonnes of abuse for it.

I believe I read somewhere before that there's a playback service/watch later service on TG4. Is this true? and if so does anyone know when it goes up and where on the site? Sorry lots of questions there.

I want to see this one and if I know I can watch it when I get home then I'll consider not checking scores while I'm out.

    Anyhow thanks.

I don't think this game is a title decider by any stretch. There's still several games to go.

Since when did Bohs start playing attractive football? :? That's a new one....

Click on TG4 BEO at the top of the website. A new screen will come up and if you click on Sport-Cartlann on the left hand side you should get a list of all the archived sport.
Think you can also watch it live. Watched the Galway Utd St Pats game last week and its pretty good quality.

God almighty Dundalk are the biggest advocates of kick and rush and physical football over the years (Or hoofball as you like to put it), i have been going to league of Ireland football. So i really don't think it's wise for any Dundalk fan to slag any fan of any other team about a lack of style on the pitch.

Fenlon keeps eye on ball- Bohs boss well aware of fierce threat posed by Rovers in season-defining clash

THE big story of this League of Ireland week is nothing to do with bouncing cheques, winding up orders or angry bus drivers. For once, it's all about the football.

Not just any ordinary game either, but arguably the most anticipated league encounter since Cork and Derry City's last-day showdown in 2005.
Nice to have events on the pitch as the main talking point for once. I reckon Rovers will take it 2-0.

I would love to see a fast-paced, high scoring game packed with entertainment and incident but alas I fear this may well go the way of so many similar crunch games and become a dour struggle in which the players are gripped by a fear of losing and proceed to play percentage football which will leave the sell-out crowd and (hopefully) health television audience unsatisfied.

I think if Bohemians do win, as I have a sneaking feeling they will, then it will be the league as good as wrapped up. On the other hand if Shamrock Rovers picked up three points then it would still be game on.

I think the league generally would benefit more from Shamrock Rovers winning the trophy as they are drawing bigger crowds than Bohemians and generating much more interest in both the local and national media at present. It would be preferrable to see them keep that bandwagon rolling than have Bohemians, a club whose manager seems to be living in cloud-cuckoo land if he thinks they can sustain full-time football next year, lift the title and promptly enter financial meltdown.

Agreed, except for this bit. If Rovers win the league then there's nowhere to go from there and it might just make keeping the crowds that bit more difficult. That not to say they wouldn't be able to do it, just that once you reach the top even a second place finish may seem like a bad year.
