Atrocious peno by Byrne, he got way underneath it. It was a peno, Sullivan was nowhere near the ball and just jumped into Crowe.

Pat Sullivan has been sent off now. The final minutes are going to be interesting.

Pity about the eejit who threw the bottle at the lino.

After it I think - there seemed to be some coming together of players.
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

Watch the replay of the peno , looks like he went to the referee after the miss and made a gesture.

What a vindication of my consistent position during this mass Shams love-in. As I kept telling everyone, and as the booing of Ndo (wonder if the elephant washing song got an airing? ) and the missile incident prove, scum are scum are scum are scum. They blew their big showcase, well done.

Not that bothered about Shams winning the league now, Bohs are clearly a better team and should still pip them. Shams look very tired.

Imagine, booing a player who left you to move to your biggest rivals? Oh wait, he's black, so it must be racism

Edit: Just saw on the other thread that someones saying there were monley noises? Anyone else hear this? Obviously a very different thing than booing IF true

The straight red card for Michael Daly was an outrageous decision - presumably the MNS cameras will show it for what it was.

A few minutes earlier Liam Burns got a deserved yellow card for a "professional foul" - strong protests followed from Drogheda players that it should have been a red.

I have no doubt that this had an influence on the bizarre decision to red card Daly. He won a bouncing ball with Connor Kenna stooping to head it. Possibly dangerous play and a free out, not even worthy of a yellow card never mind a straight red.

Apparently Daly claimed later that he did not make any contact, although Kenna was rolling on the ground clutching his head. Will be very interested to see this on MNS!

Thought we were the better team, but let down by playing Madden up front nearly on his own - he was pushed off the ball too easily. That penalty...

On another note, it was strange and wonderful watching a LoI match in a proper stadium under really good floodlights - Rovers have landed on their feet in a big way, and good luck to them: similar investment by other local authorities could pay off big time for all involved.

Entertaining game at Tolka. Shels failed to take the game to UCD with the one man advantage and were outplayed. We were inches from going 3-2 ahead one of Shels' defenders made a fantastic diving block tackle. The point keeps us in the title race but it feels like two points lost.

Went over to this game, one of the best games I've seen in a long time. Terrific game, great run in in the first division. Good to see a half decent crowd at it as well.
