I've always thought Shels would be better off moving back into their traditional stomping ground in Ringsend, or further south into Donnybrook and . They'd have a lot of people to market to, and a hook to get them in.

There wouldn't be anywhere suitable to play either. The RDS would be too expensive, anywhere in Belfield is obviously out and the rugby stadium in Donnybrook would be unplayable after the schools rugby season.

Wasn't there talk a few years back about moving into Ringsend Stadium as part of a larger community sporting complex, with a gym, swimming pool, etc? I don't think the plans ever really developed, but I didn't think it was a bad idea.

Don't know why you think Pats in Clondalkin or Lucan would be any better than Pats in Inchicore. There's a big enough catchment area available to Pats at the moment, Inchicore, Ballyfermot Crumlin/Drimnagh, Walkinstown, Palmerstown all within reasonable distance.

And Bohs in Phibsboro will do very nicely. I don't see how moving to Blanch would improve things anymore than moving to Harristown. As it is we have possibly the biggest catchment area of any club in the country and I'd include Blanch in that as it stands.

Bohs are THE north Dublin club, and I don't think they really cash in on that enough. You could get 20 000 northsiders to watch synchronised swimming if they thought it would help put one over on the southside!

I totally agree with this. Problem is I know loads of lapsed Bohs fans. I'd estimate one in five males in my building at work and a few females two are in this category. When I encourage people I know to go along its sure I will sometime. The bloke who sits beside me at work is born and bred northside, identifies with Bohs as do his whole family and he might make one or two games a season. What do you do?

I've encountered this as well. Lots of people who generally wish the club well, and don't hold anything against the LOI, but just don't go to many/any games.
