Didn't the national side play a friendly on a Friday night in London earlier on in the year?
Clearly, clashing isn't a consideration for the FAI.
Any word yet on when the promotion/relegation play-offs will be/ (Not counting chickens obviously!!!)
I see the World Cup play-offs - which we've 80% qualified for - are on the Saturday and Wednesday after the last week of the league, which would be the perfect time for the play-offs. Part-time clubs have to extend contracts for play-offs, so there's only so long you can delay them. Are we looking at maybe Wed 11 for the first game, and then the final on Sun 15 and Thurs 19 or something?
Is it a bit harsh to say it's rather careless of the FAI to have the two events more or less clashing?
