I also like the look of Conneely (sp?) the Galway right back, although very light weight he will most definitely be a good option in future.
Although the league is full of fine players, I highly doubt that any of the players will feature, especially when Trap had an ideal opportunity to give any of them a run out on Tuesday night in Limerick.
I reckon the FAI should be using friendly matches to try out League of Ireland players at international level, especially as coaches tend to use 6/7 subs per match.

What's the point in taking over the League and then ignoring it when it comes to internationals ???????????

Think he is one of 8 players still under contact for next year.

Didn't Powell play for the U23s last year in the International Tournament? Surely Trappatoni keeps on eye on that set-up and should have seen him then! Btw, any Bohs fans know if Fenlon is managing that again this year?

Because they took the league over to start saving clubs from themselves - not to integrate it with the international set-up ?

Though I agree that they should have a word in Trapp's ear to give a few LOI players run-outs. Though doubtless it'd be dismissed as the token gesture it inevitably would be.
