Drogheda Town (who occasionally use United Park) have home advantage against Swilly Rovers in a re-arranged third round tie. After Swilly Rvs. got caught out with the weather twice.

Cherry Orchard v. Sacred Heart. I have only seen one postponement there, as the Orchard were playing a second rd. game earlier this month.

Both games should be scheduled for early next year.

I heard that Swilly retain home avantage as it was Drogheda who could not travel. Swilly Park more than likely would not have been playable in any case. Not 100% on that though.

    I didn't realise that.
Drogheda may be wary of travelling up again without some assurance the match will go ahead. A few days of fine weather, before the game, would be easiest solution.

Swilly Rovers are to travel again this weekend after last weeks postponement on the FAI's behalf.
All pitches are reported to be in terrible condition which would mean that the Drogheda vs Swilly game would be played on Dundalks artificial Oriel Park surface (if playable)!!!!!

Heard a rumour Sacred Heart 1:3 Cherry Orchard.
Hearts went 1 up from a penalty but Cherry Orchard came back at them.

If Sacred Heart get to the FAI Cup in the near future, they're worth a LoI scalp.

Mayfield Utd 1-2 UCC this morning
Toddled over for the last 20 minutes, UCC were 2 up at that stage and looking comfortable enough, Mayfield scored from a free in the last minute of normal time and UCC wobbled a bit.
In the 7 minutes of added time (UCC crowd next to me had no idea where it came from)Mayfield had 2 gilt edged chances to level but missed them both and College hung on to meet Avondale in the next round.

They might get that opportunity when they play Shamrock Rovers in February
