he left a few months ago!
Whats up with that? I know he didn't feature a whole lot but why is he being released? Surely he would be a player that Matthews would want to hang onto no?
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
A LOT of months ago my friend!
Didn't notice ..... why did he leave can anyone remember? Has he hung up boots so yeah?

Was on trial with Oldham, don't know if he signed though.
Same reason he left Liuverpool, same reason he left Bohs

I **** up all me pay,Watching footy on TV,
Just feed me more VB,Just pour my beer,And get my smokes, And go away
apparently playing for CYM Terenure in the Leinster Senior League 1 which kicks off this weekend....
"if I close my eyes, its not illegal...."
Talented guy and would be a good 'un if he could get his head right. He blew hot and cold for us, and has plenty of critics, but he can play and I certainly wouldn't write him off.
He isnt goof enough for Drogs or Bohs but way too good for CYM Terenure.
Would the likes of Fingal,Dundalk,Shels and Bray not be interested?
Might as well ask these questions here:
Why is he called Joxer?
What was all that 'Joxer has no father' stuff about?
i always thought it was just that in Dublin the name John Paul sometimes gets shortened to Joxer.
was a great little player for Bohs for a couple of seasons, a player you would gladly pay in to watch and its a real pity if some of the above stories are true and he has wasted away that talent.

A real shame that he has ended up like this. Hope he finds another club.
Maybe this is telling of the league, the leagues ability to steer players the right way and ensure they can progress as players and people.
Its one of the few advantages available to the league, as opposed to the machine across the water that chews players up and spits them out for any reason imaginable. If players can recognise their domestic league enables to them equip themselves for a move away (Fahey) or have a good career here (Gamble) or use it as a means to progress through the system (Doyle) then it will become alot more attractive to them.
I wonder have the PFAI done anything to help the guy out? I'm comparing them to the Gaelic Players Association who actively seek jobs for their members these days.

I would like to see him stay in football. Joxer has the ability and with a bit of help could still make it big.
A good example is Fahey, he went back playing Leinster Senior League for Bluebell United but came to St Pats and eventually moved onto Birmingham, where he is now playing in the Premier League.
A massive advantage for Joxer is he is only 21.
