Darragh Ryan (son of Gerry Ryan) has joined Conference side Stevenage

Kevin Thornton had joined Northampton from Nuneaton (the side who held Middlesbrough in the FA Cup a few years back). He also played for Coventry Sphinx last year.

Willo Flood gone to Boro on a permanent deal (for free) rather than loan as was expected.

Will be interesting to see how he gets on at Boro. Obviously Strachan signed him for Celtic, threw him straight in for a debut against Rangers in his first week or so, then preceeded to hardly ever play him thereafter.

He's now taken him to Boro - I hope he gets a decent shot at it.

Reckon the writing is on the wall for Mark Yeates. He had made a reasonable start but looks like Strachan will move him on.

If I were a player I would not want to sign for Strachan.

I do not rate him. Rangers were somewhat in the doldrums for a lot of the time he was at Celtic so I would not be that impressed with his record there.

Off the top of my head I do not think that he had a good record in the Old Firm games either. Let some statistic whiz prove me wrong if they like.

Shame, he did well at Colchester and Southgate seemed to rate him, unlucky with the change in management I guess, wouldn't surprise me to see him turn up at Charlton with Phil Parkinson.
