it could be anything from 50 people to 200 max. most games were in & around 100-ish & maybe a few more depending on how many away fans travelled to Buckley.
The only time i seen both stands packed was for an Ireland under 21 game!
"We didn't underestimate them. They were just a lot better than we thought."
i was at the last killkenny league game and i must say i had the best weekend down in killkenny. lovely town, good night spot. the game wasnt bad either with about 500-600 harps fans behind the goals.
It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up.
Muhammad Ali
Abit off topic but who was the foreign striker that Kilkenny had who scored a few goals the last time they where in the Premier Divison, I think it was the 99 maybe 2000 season?!
Drogs Who?!?
Carlos Rocha from Portugal, one of the decent ones out of the rag tag bunch of foreigners signed by Joe McGrath.
He was given leave to go home at one point in the season, and it turned out he was having a trial with a French club. Don't know what became of him after that.
Keep it real
He scored a good few for ye didnt he!
Drogs Who?!?
I was at that game too, off pitch it was most memorable for the anti Henry Shefflin chants and the club 'shop' running out of bread, then anything heated.... cold cold cold night!
That and parking on a nearly totally grass-permeated bit of the gravel car park; doubt they'd seen that many cars/buses in some time.
