Damn I love summer football but I'm starting to have a change of heart tbh.

I wish in the LOI there was like proper signings, like at least having a bit of financial muscle to get some players in. I know foot.ie doesnt like threads that discuss 'how, whats and ifs' but i would love to see how league of ireland can invest itself. even some barstooler friends of mine say how they'd love to support an irish club(whatever that means)

So the whole financial crisis going on in Galway is bypassed straight into new ownership and no-one outside the LOI finds out about their financial difficulty.
In all fairness, ye're situation is far worse than ours.

did you tell them how easy it actually is? Get off your fat arse and trundle down to your local team, pay 15 or so quid, buy a beer and sing a few songs. It can be done!!!

Think he means they'd support an LOI team if they became 'real' clubs like Man Utd.

And yes LOI fans are better than barstoolers, in a footballing supporter sense.
All this talk of the commercial product etc, is exactly why we are better than barstoolers (in a footballing supporter sense of the word).
But anyways I like that it is not a hobby horse for bandwagoner event sluts, its our thing.
Did you really type that with a straight face?

I miss the XMAS games maybe we could re-jig the seaon a little bit so it ends with 2 games at Xmas , weatherwise apart from a bit of sunshine in June there isn't much difference between the other 11 months.

Shamrock Rovers and Cork City. All the rest are pretenders.
