Has he left Drogheda? He was on the bench for the replay against Rovers on Tuesday night.

Danny has just finished the season with Sligo-Leitrim Junior Soccer Club Merville United where he has played mainly in defence. As this was Merville's first time to enter a team in the Junior Soccer League they had to start in the bottom division where they won all round them - they were a very good team and will work their way up the divisions very quick. Maybe Danny is going to play full back for ye!

DROGHEDA United boss Alan Mathews has confirmed that Gavin Whelan and Michael Foley have played their last games for the club and will move on, writes AIDAN FITZMAURICE.

Whelan only rejoined Drogheda in March after a spell with Bray Wanderers, while fellow midfielder Foley signed up at United Park from Waterford United. Both failed to make a lasting impact at Drogheda, so Whelan is free to join Irish League side Lisburn Distillery while Foley is rejoining Longford Town.

"Gavin has an option to play in the North so we won't stand in his way, and Mick hasn't played all that many games for us so he is moving on too," said Mathews. "We would like to get some players in when the transfer window opens next month but there's not a lot out there now."
I’m not pedantic...I’m merely overly concerned with minute details.

Gavin Whelan has been solid for Drogheda every time I have seen him this season - I think Drogheda will be weaker without him, unless Mathews finds a replacement - maybe Mick Clarke's opportunity?

Yes, right across the road from the Showgrounds. O'Leary is one of the coaches on the FAS football course in Sligo.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

I'd love to see Paul Walsh at us (Waterford United), after all, as previously stated he's a local lad.

Seems like he knows how to celebrate a goal!

    http://www.101greatgoals.com/2009/01...-with-the-ref/

The exciting climax to the Ayrshire derby peaked when Killie keeper Damien Rascle desperately tried to punch away a corner in the dying minutes, only to see his clearance fall to Alex Williams. And without hesitation, the striker thumped a first-time volley through a ruck of players, eventually nestling in the net and forcing a replay.
But that was only half the story.
Caught up in the excitement, Williams removed his shirt on an arctic day in Scotland, swinging it above his head like an old-fashioned football fan’s rattle, while running around like a headless chicken. But before Williams could be caught by his fellow teammates, the cheeky chap, clearly overcome with emotion, ran into the path of referee Steve Conroy and opted to involve the official in his moment of joy.
Bare-chested, Williams thrusted himself on the man in black, throwing his arms around the ref before his teammates managed to get in on the act. Startled, the ref booked the pumped Williams, who reacted by ruffling the ref’s hair and planting a sloppy kiss on his cheek.
    Brilliant!

(Apologises for the quality of the video.)

Is that meant to be Broadford Rovers?
