    Luther Blissett scored a hat-trick against Galway United on his LOI debut, a game which Derry won 3-1 (At least that was what he told the London Evening Standard after we beat Derry 3-1 in Crowley park in the mid nineties)

    The Doc and Theo Dunne used to spend an hour each week making up fake injury updates just so we'd get a longer match preview in the paper. Tony McDonnell was once doubtful cos of a dead leg six weeks in a row. He recovered each time though.

    There were goals in the half time fans game between UCD & Longford Town.
