And once again the most popular team loses.

Soon teams will be fearing the label of 'Last Man Standing favourite'

Only 5 people left now after 3 rounds, so series 2 could be starting up soon enough.

Bohs is the obvious pick next week & a few people still have that option. It would be good if competition lasted until the mid season break.

Votes for round 4 are in.

Bohemians are once again favourite with 3 votes(lets hope the curse continues)
City and Derry each have a vote each.

As the competition is coming to an end soon, I'd appreciate if people would send feedback or suggestions to lastmanstanding@forastrust.ie as we'd like to start Series 2 soon after this one ends.

I'd be particularly interested to now if there's anything that would make those who didn't sign up the last time, sign up this time.

    Thanks

Derry City drawing tonight knocks someone out so down to 4 now.

Just bumping this thread so it doesn't get lost.

I'll be signing up next time alright, I like the fact the weeks scores are all online so you can see how you're doing and how many you're up against.

    Thanks.

We were 1 minute away from a winner on Friday before Bohs pulled one back. People running out of the 'certain' teams to pick now, should be interesting.

I'm still watching teams even though i've been knocked out. Damn you to help Dundalk ..... if O'Brien was playing i would have been alright.

Was it a success financially for yourselves, if you don't mind me asking?

the prize money was split 50-50 between the winner and FORAS

so FORAS made 680 euro off the back of this.

As mentioned below it was 50-50.

We made 680 (-paypal costs). Decent return especially if we can get it up and running as a regular thing. Everything helps at the moment.

    Series 2

FORAS Last Man Standing Series 2

With Series 1 being such a big success, Series 2 of the FORAS Last Man Standing competiton starts on the weekend of the 19th June.

Help us to expand the competition, and prize fund, by signing up friends family and colleagues.

The rules for the competition are as follows:

    1) Each week you must pick 1 team to win.
    2) You may only pick each team once in a series(so if you pick Cork City in week one then you cannot pick them again for the next 9 weeks.
    3) If your team wins you move on to round 2, if your team loses or draws you are knocked out.
    4) There are 10 rounds in each series.
    5) The winner is the 'last man standing' or anyone left after series 10.
    6) The winner/winners receive 50% of the pool of money with the other 50% going to FORAS.
    7) On the Monday before each game you will receive an email informing you if you have moved on to the next round. Simply respond to this email with your choice for that week by the Thursday of the week.
    8) You can check the progress online at www.forastrust.ie.
    9) It costs 10 euro to enter, the more entrants the bigger the prize fund.

Entry fees can be paid to forastrust@gmail.com via PayPal or handed to any BoM member between now and Monday June 15th.
Please remember if you are not entering via PayPal we will need an email address to send you the fixtures every week.

Your weekly choices, or any other queries, can be emailed to lastmanstanding@forastrust.ie .
Please note that this email address is NOT for PayPal payments.

Today is the closing date for entries for this series.

Thanks to everyone who's entered so far. We now have City fans, Sligo fans, Drogs fans and Dundalk fans that I know of.

Hopefully we'l spread the representation out as we go on.
