FORAS: LOI Last Man Standing Competition

This is a FORAS fundraiser so if people think it should be moved fair enough but I thought one or two of you might be interested. If you can stand giving a fiver to FORAS. I'm sure some clubs ahve their own ones going but it should be a bit of fun anyway.

FORAS are pleased to announce the launch of

    Last Man Standing

This fundraiser will be based on the LOI Premier League and run over a ten week period commencing with the series of fixtures beginning the weekend of May 1st

    The rules for the competition are as follows;

    1) Each week you must pick 1 team to win.
    2) You may only pick each team once in a series(so if you pick Cork City in week one then you cannot pick them again for the next 9 weeks)
    3) If your team wins you move on to round 2, if your team loses or draws you are knocked out
    4) There are 10 rounds in each series
    5) The winner is the 'last man standing' or anyone left after series 10
    6) The winner/winners receive 50% of the pool of money with the other 50% going to FORAS.
    7) On the Monday before each game you will receive an email informing you if you have moved on to the next round. Simply respond to this email with your choice for that week by the Thursday of the week.
8)You can check the progress online at www.forastrust.ie
    9) It costs 10euro to enter, the more entrants the bigger the prize fund.

Entry fees can be paid to forastrust@gmail.com via paypal or handed to any BoM member between now and Monday April 27th.

Please remember if you are not entering via paypal we will need an email address to send you the fixtures every week

    With Thanks
    FORAS BoM

    Cool.

Sounds cool, might give it a go.Eircom league is VERY unpredictable though with teams taking points off eachother below the top 2.

Bring some application forms up with you to Oriel Park on Friday night and I'm sure you'll get some Dundalk fans to sign up their €10 and email address in the Lilywhite Lounge after the game.

A first division one would end in a draw on week 12 when everyone has to pick Kildare.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

Lol. This was actually the reason we avoided first division clubs for the first one(will see how it goes and possibly add them in the next one). At the end of week 11 everyone would still be in it having just picked whoevers playing Kildare every week til then(No offence kildare fans)

Hope you managed to get a few people signed up last night. It was nice to meet some of you Cork fans in Kennedy's before the game, although it was a bit rude to rob the three points at the end!

I thought this thread was going to be a celebration of good (football) over evil (GAA) in reference to the quote in relation to the Tallaght Stadium.

    Shame.
