You have to make the leap at some point. Fact is Martinez has gotten better than anyone would have expected from a team with declining resources that sells all its best players every year. That doesn't mean he'd do well at Liverpool, but it does show he has a track record of exceeding expectations, not just surviving.

But they have also got some thumpings under him over the past few seasons but he became flavour of the month when he had a good run in at the end of the season, including a win at Liverpool!! In fact if he was a manager of any other club he probably would have been sacked mid-season and there would be no talk of him getting the Anfield gig.
