That's how it ended and Côte d’Ivoire beat Mexico 2-1.
No appearance for the City lads though.
    Great start for Ireland.

    Peader,
You must have fallen asleep before the end Kevin Doyle came on in the last few minutes and was booked

No one seemed to know why but its assumes its for something he said to the aussie referee.

I missed the last 10 minutes or so and then checked Aertel
    http://www.rte.ie/aertel/p229.htm
Saw no sign of our boys and took their word for it.
    Sorry about that.

doyle's second touch after coming on wa to take it down, go past a player and then dink the ball past another in an effort to get to the corner
he got caught, tripped, tried to stay on his feet therefore it could not have been a dive. referee that he dived and he got booked
    well harsh
he's a good sub to bring on but he's sub #3 and is behind zayed for striker replacements.
it'd be a surprise to see a kearney appearance tho

    Don't think so,
Last Saturdays game wasn't on, so probably not.

The old Alpine Ski Jumping was the job though.

Zayed (Bray) & Paisley (Longford) drafted in to first eleven for today's game.

Final Score was 2-2. Well at least I think it was. Kearney came on with 2 minuted to go.

FIFA must have contracted their update service to aertel.

A draw against Mexico will be enough to see us through now.

Final score was 2-2. Just checked fifa.com. They should know the score, if anyone does. Elliott scored again.

Good to see Kearney get on the pitch, but I'd rather see the CCFC boys get a bit longer. They won't learn much from 2 mins play.

Aside form that, the FAI have decided not to appeal Doyle's yellow card from the opening game, despite the tv relay clearly showing he was hacked down. Typical Merrion madness.

I think there was a 2 hour limit on appealing the booking.

Yeah, I read that on elevenaside.

That's no excuse. They should have been professional enough to get their appeal lodged in time. Muppets.
