That's a lot of money to pay for someone to warm the bench. A cushion or a waterbottle would be much more economically in these recession plagued times.

He wants a paycheck not a fair chance. Honestly if I was a Sunderland fan I'd say that this is too much, if he wasn't Irish he wouldn't have been signed. He didn't even have to try out just sign...

The only way he'll get anywhere near the squad is if they have injury problems. If Keane saw him as anything other than someone to give a coaching influence or someone to call on in extreme circumstances then I'd be very worried if I was a Sunderland fan.

Colgan's very best still only made him average.

Yes because he's a noted and experienced coach too...

Someone allegedly spotted him at the Barca /Hibs game checking out Alan O'Brien.

He seems to be continually paying seriously over the odds for players. Not sure what the fee agreed was for Malbranque but it was reported at the £23m level?????? Hes a good player but for christ sake, thats rediculous.......

As far as Im aware it was going to be 23 mil in total for the 4 Spurs players not just for Malbranque.I think that was a pretty fair price if he had gotten all 4, and he only payed 2.5 mil for Diouf, who may be a scumbag but is a good player. Keane has done good business this summer

fair enough, it appears to be an undisclosed fee, so cant find anything on it, perhaps I heard it wrong. Worrying, how it almost seemed credible though!!!!!!

I honestly laughed out loud when Keane signed Diouf. He showed he's just like every othermanager. They can speak all the l;ike about ethics and morals and finding players with the right charachter, but when it boils down to it, they'd all sign scumbags if they think it'll earn them points

How long does this jury need to sit, he joined Liverpool 6 years ago. The Guiness trial didnt even take that long.
