    Congrats Cork City pop-up

Any chance of getting rid of it, popping up every time I refresh the page. I wouldn't mind as much if you had done one for us last week but ya didn't.

It's only on the front page, so just don't refresh the front page. It'll be there for the weekend, get used to it.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

It is good, face......in small doses....it does come across eventually as a perpetual reminder of who won the league rather than congratulations. It was a good little thing when I saw it first - having to effectively avoid a page I use is undoubtedly frustrating..?

It's not as if there is/will be few threads announcing the winner of the league...you know you don't have to stretch too hard to find one - but it seems this is just putting it constantly in your face for a weekend..i.e. triumphalism for the sake of triumphalism

If you don't want to comment on Cork's win or have already commented on it once and avoid the threads congratulating them, why should you have the fact they won it constantly in front of you? Personally with the week ahead of Rovers, I couldn't care less if I tried about who won the league. I've posted a congratulations to Cork and as far as I'm concerned that's the end of it.

Unless the owner of the site demands it, of which then we should all just shut up..

Jesus dfx, take your thumb out of your arse fella. You've retained everything like.

Cork City won the league, they deserve congratulations. If I'd thought to do it before, last year's winners would've gotten the same thing. Either way, I say it stays, so quiet down.

Same goes for the rest of ye. It's on ONE page for a few days, if you don't like it, don't visit the forum homepage. If it really offends you that much, go, and don't come back. See me cry.

Bloody whiney ninnies the lot of ye. Bwah bwah bwah.

    Fancy Drop Down Box

I wonder why we didn't get a nice little fancy drop down box last week congratulating Sligo Rovers F.C. when you log on to the site, ah but sure it was only the First Division!

They probably didn't put one up for us because it gets bloody annoying after a while!

The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.

Because, in really basic terms, I don't watch a whole lot of football, and didn't know. I watched the game last night and got a brainwave, as you can see by the horrendous graphics.

Sorry guys, but that's the truth. If someone had PM'd me, I wouldn've done the same thing. And I will next season, so I guess Sligo had better stay up...

EDIT: I've changed the ad to be less intrusive, now stop complaining before I get annoyed.

It'll be there until tomorrow. Like I said, if you don't like it, don't view the front page. If you use forum subscriptions, you never need to.

Sure it only comes up on the front page - after that, I use the "New Posts" button to find stuff, so it's hardly an issue?

Nice touch, I think. Though it covers up the login area.
