I would not have shown it to anyone, i would have made them pay top dollar for such info, top dollar or sexual favours.![]()
either way, that lecturer will most likely adjust the final paper now, so its not exactly the same.
A couple of weeks ago we were in our last few days of college before the exams. As usual the lecturers were giving us hints as to what was coming up in the exams. In one class (which I arrived late for) the lecturer gave out two sheets to everyone (or so I thought). One sheet was a list of poetry by Louis MacNiece and the other was a list of exam questions for the summer - 12 in all.
I soon realise that I was the only one with this extra sheet with the questions. At first I thought that the question sheet was a brief summary of the exam but in fact it was the exam itself. The lecturer then looked quite worried and began looking on the floor and asked everyone did they get it by mistake - I stayed quiet. She then went on to tell us roughly (off the top of her head) as to what was coming up. As I glanced at the sheet I noticed that everything she said was correct.
Afterwards I showed it to the rest of the class, while some said I should give it back and they didn't want to see it, others were only to happy to take a copy of it.
What would you have done if you were in the same scenario![]()
Who Cares?!

If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later
FORM IS TEMPORARY, CLASS IS PERMANENT
If she realises she last it in class chances are she'l change the paper so I wouldnt rely on it.
Id love to say id do the right thing and hand it back but depends on the lecture and lecturer tbh. Some of ours are right tools and Id have no problem keeping it if it were theirs
When I was in first year a copy of an MCQ exam paper aquired in much the same way and everyone in the class got a copy of it. The lecturer sussed though when pretty much everyone got over 80% and didn't count the MCQ as part of the final results.
In your case I would have said nothing and just gave it to one or two close friends and the best looking bird in the class
UCD sha-la-la
I'd have kept it and said nowt. Purely cos we had a lecturer in final year who
was a pain in the arse when we asked for hints for the final exam.
ie
Q. Can you give us some hints about the exam paper?
A. Well it will consist of questions.
Q. Will there we multiple choice sections or essay type?
A. Well the multiple chioce will be that you can choose
to answer the questions or not.
Q. Are there any specific topics we should focus on
A. If you know every topic from the entire year inside out, you might do Ok.

i would have kept quiet..would maybe have told a few close mates in the class..
would have dropped out of college....too much pressure
I would have consulted us on foot.ie before spreading it around the class!![]()
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
I'm not sure if you're joking Rory H but you actually have the best idea.*
I'd probably have scribbled it down before handing it back all discretely. If i'd any buddy in the class then I would tell them.
*serious.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.
O'Bama - "Eerah yeah, I'd say we can alright!"
G.O'Mahoney Trapattoni'll sort ém out!!
I wouldn't have given it to anybody. At the end of the day when something like that comes around there is always one who can't hold their p1ss.
Also its not like you're getting a financial benefit as would if a shop gives you the change of a 50 but you only gave a 10! Take it a sign and keep your mouth stum and get on with it.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!
You wouldn'e be doing English, Media and Cultural Studies in Dun Laoirghe by any chance?
I did that course and lectures were all dead on anyway, they'd often tell us pretty much the exact exam and on more than one occassion accidently left the room with copy of exam in position for all to see.
Wouldn't worry too much about it in any case. Lecturers generally only want to help their students so they don't look bad themselves.

Well I know in UCC, the exam papers are sent in about January, so the lecturers can't change them after that. It makes sure the lecturers cover what they are supposed to and don't leave stuff out if they don't get to it during the year. If that's the same in your place, then it should be the same paper as you got. Not sure what the rules are in your college tho.
Personally, I'd have probably have taken it as good luck and just aced the exam.
The glass isn't half full or half empty it's just too damn big!
Sligoman is dead right - most people cannot be trusted to think for themselves, that is why we foot.ie users (however occasional) should always be consulted about major moral and ethical dilemmas.
For example:
You are on a night out with your best mate, and his excellently designed girlfriend. As the second shot off tequila consigns him to something coma like for the rest of the evening, the girlfriend starts chatting with you. After the next shot, it seems more like flirting. After the next it becomes more like seduction.
Just before this point most men will have a moral or ethical dilemma as to the continuation of the actions. It is precisely at this point that you should abandon the girl for a brief internet session, and apply to our great resource of experience, knowledge, and balanced, fair and unbiased appraisals of situations.
With the assistance of the foot.ie off topic crew, you shall be steered carefully between the moral and ethcial rocks of the situation, navigating you towards the happiest possible outcome for all concerned. You can then return and, to use a colloquialism, "drop the hand", or not, with our express approval.
Yes, foot.ie is here to help you with all your major life choices.
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.
Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

they are, of course, just simmering inside that you others would have an edge on them and id be surprised it they allowed this to pass and could actually exert a little bit of pressure on the lecturer to even the playing field again.
in short, id be surprised if the paper is the same on exam day.
I think I'd have kept it pretty hush hush, showing it to the whole classis not a good idea...some one is gonna let the lecturer know!
Ever get the feelin' you have been cheated?
Should have taken it down on the sly and tried to slip it back into the lecturers papers without them noticing. As it stands the exam is just going to be changed....
