I think he's got a point. Re-establish his club form and match fitness first, available for selection later. If anything, not having him in this squad is good for King. He can get down to business without all the fuss.

Nah... Have to disagree...These two matches under an interim manager is exactly the right time to absorb the fuss around a return for Stephen Ieland.
Plus, it's not as if he's returning from an extended absence as a result of a career threatening injury and so needs to consider his efforts to that degree. I don't buy his reasoning.
I said in a previous post i was more annoyed at myself for hoping he'd see this oppertunity for what it is. He's not all there. Must get some sort of kick out of being courted.
Ah, go back to your own exile so then!
I agree he's a nutjob though.
He's an idiot. The intelligence and attitude of a spoilt 5 year old.
Surely he's not deserving of taking the place of someone in the squad that may actually consider it an honour to play for their country. He's been rubbish anyway with the exception of a good season and a half he had at city about 5 years ago now.
For a second I thought you were going to call him 'pants' :)
My God, could you imagine if he was due to play this week and then withdrew because of this?

Anyway, may she RIP.
Hmm, part of you almost isn't sure, given the content. And source.
RIP anyway.
mark hughes has said today, ireland should not rejoin the intl setup until he establishes himself at club level first

Meanwhile, friends of the Ireland’s paid their condolences to the footballers family, with many admitting to recycling mass cards written over five years ago.
“I said there was no point in throwing the card away at the time,” said one neighbour. “I mean, she was going to die again at some stage.”
I thought the story elsewhere on that site "FAI tells players Trap has gone off to live on a farm" was really funny.
"Will he have lots of room to run around?" asked Robbie Keane.
WWN's take on Trap's post Sweden game press conference had me in stitches.
I just read it now and was laughing out loud.
Fill yer boots, people.

Starting for Stoke today
Looks like he was at fault for the Fulham winner. He gave the ball away with a careless pass.
Thought his teammate was equally to blame to be fair. He didn't bust a gut to recover it though.
I think the teammate was Whelan, who also didn't work very hard to track back or maybe he did... It's hard to tell the difference when our Glenn is trying to run or walk!
