    Terenure FC v Kilbarrack United

Terenure FC will face one of the biggest games in the clubs history as they take on AUL giants Kilbarrack United in the Leinster Senior Cup this Saturday in the VEC Grounds, Terenure. Reigning UCFL Premier Division, Challenge Cup and Premier Shield winners Terenure will have to be at their very best if they want to upset the odds against last seasonís AUL Premier and FAI Junior Cup runners up Kilbarrack.

Terenure have already caused an upset in the competition when they ousted last seasonís third placed AUL team St. Kevinís Boys in the first round, while Kilbarrack received a bye to this stage of the competition. Kilbarrack have started this season in fine form, winning five of their first six league games and drawing just once, scoring 22 goals and conceding just 2 in the process. The one positive from that statistic for Terenure, if you want to draw a form line of some sort, is that the draw came in their most recent league game against St Kevinís Boys which finished 1-1.

Despite their cup heroics Terenure have made a stuttering start to the season; losing their first league game and then drawing the next two, scoring 3 and conceding 6 in the process. A comprehensive cup win in their most recent fixture should have restored some confidence, however, and there can be no doubt the underdogs will be highly motivated for this fixture.

Terenure will need everyone to be at the top of their game if they are to produce another shock result and the UCFL representatives are determined to do the much maligned league proud. With a big support expected to attend the 2.30 kick off in the VEC grounds the club will be hoping to write another chapter in their increasingly impressive history following last seasonís UCFL heroics and great journey to the 6th round of the FAI Junior cup.
