Harps lost their opening game as an LoI club 10-2 to Shamrock Rovers. It was a dublin city Cup tie but still a record domestic defeat.

They also lost 12-0 to Derby in the UEFA Cup although I believe all 12 were offside. :D

12-0 wasn't bad... considering it was 9-0 at half time!

Incidentally, if you're interested in the history of Harps (and it is a mad story) you can usually pick up a copy of the superbly written club history on EBay or Amazon.

I am just referencing other League of Ireland Senior teams for the club.


Minnock made 470 appearances for Harps (plus another 28 for Shelbourne).

He came in as manager in 76/77 and was sacked during the 81/82 season. Again got this from Bart's book.
